Dear ACSSSD Parents,

Dear ACSSSD Parents,

Last month, Governor Murphy announced that effective March 7th, masks will no longer be mandated for students, staff, or visitors in New Jersey schools.   In response to this change, the Atlantic County Vocational School District Board of Education has approved modifications to our Safe Reopening Plan to make masks optional at ACSSSD for students, staff and visitors starting on Monday, March 7th. Additionally, students and staff are not required to wear masks while on school buses starting on Monday as well.

As the wearing of a mask will be optional, anyone who chooses to continue the practice is welcome to do so without any limitations. We will continue to follow the guidance provided by the CDC and the New Jersey Departments of Health and Education to maintain the health and safety of students and staff.   As the aforementioned guidance is subject to change based on regional and state health conditions, we will adjust our policies accordingly if needed.

Parents are encouraged to monitor their child’s health daily and to keep their child home if they demonstrate any COVID related symptoms.  If you have health related questions, please feel free to call our school nurses.

We are looking forward to this return to normalcy in our school, and we appreciate your ongoing support and cooperation as we work together while "Building Bright Tomorrows" at ACSSSD.
